Manor Inn is the former Raymond estate known as Hebron Farm and was originally built by Yarmouth Native, Harry Haratio Raymond in the early 1920's.  Commodore Harry H. Raymond made his success and earned an esteemed reputation by operating the Columbian  and Eastern Steamship Lines out of Boston Mass. His reputation preceded him so much that he eventually earned an honorary decoration from the US navy.

During its time span, the Raymond estate was the scene of many gala parties and receptions.  Several famous persons were guests at the estate, including the most top political figures from both the United States and Canada at that time.  In 1935 a gala dining event was held for Mr. Ramsay Macdonald, then Prime Minister of England & his daughter Isabel who were on a visit to Canada.

The Manor  was  constructed by master craftsmen and has been extensively renovated over its life. The interior woodwork, which is noted for its beauty, has retained the charm of the 1920's and features an abundance of South American Mahogany and carved Wedgwood fireplace mantels.

The Inn features 5 deluxe guest rooms with either whirlpool baths, multi jet showers and/or fireplaces, wi-fi access, mini bars, hairdryers, guest bathrobes, exterior Hot-Tub access and much more.

Adjacent to the Manor is the former Carriage House of the estate, which housed the commodore's carriages and eventually his motor cars.  This building has been completely renovated and now features 4 guest rooms, including the top floor Romantic Escape Suite.

Since being converted to an Inn in the 1970's  and in keeping with the tradition of welcoming famous persons to the estate, the Inn has hosted many top political figures and famous Hollywood actors, most notably Bruce Wills & Demi Moore.

Our Commodore Dining Room menu is built around the 100 mile concept and features succulent fresh, local seafood including Lobster , Nova Scotia beef and poultry & Nova Scotia Wines. The Manor Inn is a Taste of Nova Scotia member restaurant Located on Route # 1,  on The Evangeline Trail, approx. 8 kms from the International Ferry terminal to Maine & downtown Yarmouth, on the shores of Doctors Lake
